‘Cat Cuddle Booths’ set up to cure loneliness on Valentine’s Day
Come cuddle up to one of Battersea’s feline friends this Valentine’s Day
Feline lonely this Valentines Day? Then go and meet your purr-fect match with a special cat event at Battersea rescue centre.
The animal shelter is setting up cuddle booths on February 14, and inviting singletons and couples to come and meet a four-legged friend.
Promising a cat-tivating evening of flirtation, frivolity and fun at the London cattery, visitors can enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly and canapés and enjoy matchmaking with cats looking for a new home.
Staff at the shelter, which has rehomed more than three million animals since it opening in 1860, hope the free event will inspire members of the public to find love in a Battersea cat, and give a second chance to one of the 2,760 moggies the charity takes in every year.
It starts at 5.30pm, with the Cat Cuddle Booths operating on a first-come-first-served basis, so get down early to make some feline friends.
